Welcoming a new baby into your family is a joyous occasion, and many parents are eager to capture those first precious memories. Rather than packing everything up and driving to a studio after just giving birth, many families opt instead for the convenience of an in-home newborn session to document their baby’s entrance into the world.

As I reflect on the memories captured during this year’s Christmas tree farm minis in South Jersey, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of gratitude. It was a beautifully sunny, albeit cold, November morning and our Christmas tree farm in South Jersey provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the essence of the holiday season.

If you saw these family portraits on Pinterest, would you guess they were taken somewhere in Europe or in…Delaware? When I first saw pictures of Nemours Estate, I knew I had to go. Located in the heart of Wilmington, Nemours grants you the essence of a French estate without traveling far. Nemours Estate family photos are perfect if you’re looking to adorn your walls with elegant, timeless portraits of your loved ones.

At the heart of my work as a Princeton family photographer is the belief that family is everything. Every family has its unique story, and my goal is to capture those precious moments that will create lifelong memories for you to look back on. This fall, it was my joy to work with this lively family of 6 in this beautiful secret garden setting.

Jessica and Jason welcomed their baby girl, Maren, over Labor Day weekend and brought her home to a gorgeous nursery in soft tones of beige and sage. Their dog, Rosie, was happy to meet her new sister and stuck close by as I photographed this session. As a Collingswood newborn photographer, it is such an honor to be welcomed into the sacred space of a growing family–those first few weeks are so precious and go by so quickly!

You’d never know it was pouring rain when we began Deborah and Aenyl’s September maternity session. We had already rescheduled once due to bad weather but we didn’t let that stop us this time as we set up this sweet maternity picnic photoshoot to reveal the gender of their first child.

You’ll never guess what happened during this Jersey Shore family photography session in Ocean City–and I happened to get a photo of it! Read the post to find out more.

Preparing for a family photoshoot is exciting, but when it comes to choosing the perfect outfits, it’s not uncommon for stress to start creeping in. In this family portrait style guide, I’ll answer your most frequently asked questions so that deciding what to wear for family pictures doesn’t have to be stressful.

South Jersey is full of beautiful places to take family portraits. From flower gardens to sandy beaches, the sky’s the limit when it comes to the look you’re after. I’ve managed to narrow the list down based on the variety of backdrops, amenities offered, and privacy offered.

For Jenn and Brett’s rose garden maternity photos, we took advantage of this uncharacteristically beautiful June and head to what I’d seriously consider heaven on earth–a 4.5 acre garden filled to the brim with fragrant roses in bloom.

Photographs on the beach are always so dreamy. The way the light peeks over the grassy slopes and reflects off the water is hard to beat–there’s something so magical and carefree about running barefoot through the sand and splashing through the water!
