Erika and Brandon met at a mutual friend’s wedding and went on their first official date the following night. How cute is that! For their Ridley Creek engagement photos, Erika and Brandon wanted to remember the absolute joy they feel and to commemorate the journey they’ve traveled together as a couple. I can personally confirm, dating and getting engaged during a global pandemic is no easy task!
Ridley Creek State Park was the perfect choice for their engagement photoshoot—we had amazing weather, it wasn’t crowded, and we were even able to find some trees that were still flowering!
I met Erika and Brandon on the yellow trail near the parking lot of the Hunting Hill Mansion at Ridley Creek State Park. Thankfully they had remembered to take some allergy meds before the shoot because along with gorgeous spring weather comes the sniffles!
Erika and Brandon opted for an outfit change during their engagement session, wanting to take some dressier pictures as well as capture their love in a more casual look. I often encourage couples to plan two looks for their engagement photos so they can give this special occasion the attention it deserves while still being able to capture who they are as a couple in a more everyday setting.
“The photos she captured are stunning and I cannot wait to have them hanging on our walls. She got a great mix of posed shots, candids and took all my crazy ideas and made them come to life! Overall, Courtney was professional and courteous and is one amazing woman with a camera!”
