Fairmount Park Family Photos

This was such a special session for so many reasons. It was my third time working with the C family, and the cherry blossoms hold great personal significance to them. Fairmount Park in Philadelphia during peak cherry blossom bloom was the perfect setting to photograph the beautiful bond Daitza has with her two girls. As a Philadelphia motherhood photographer, nothing makes me happier than being able to preserve these moments for this lovely young family!

During our consultation call, Daitza and I planned a whimsical photoshoot celebrating the femininity of motherhood and the joy and renewal that comes with spring. We chose outfits that mimicked the tones of the pink cherry blossoms, with plenty of ruffles and delicate tulle fabrics.

Family Photos at Fairmount Park

The girls loved tugging on the cherry blossom branches to smell the fragrant flowers, and wanted me to take plenty of photos of them twirling like fairies. Every time we came across a magnolia flower, they’d scoop the bud up and carry it around like a tiny bouquet.

Towards the end of the session, when the light was practically gone, we found the most stunning grove of flowering pink trees with long willowy branches. Some of my favorite photographs from the session came from these last moments together during blue hour, dancing beneath these whimsical trees.
