Lily’s family has been coming to Ocean City for over 100 years. Justin had been on seven family vacations with her and proposed on Lily’s 25th birthday on the beach at sunrise. So it was only natural for them to have an Ocean City NJ engagement photographer take their engagement photos on the beach, exactly a year later at sunrise!
We were blessed with perfect weather during their Labor Day weekend photo session. The beaches were uncrowded from holiday shore-goers and the early morning sunlight perfectly glistened off the softly crashing waves.
As an Ocean City NJ engagement photographer, I always recommend couples bring two outfits to their engagement session: one for more dressy portraits and another to capture who they are in a more everyday setting. For Lily and Justin’s first look, they chose the perfect blue and white puff-sleeved dress paired with a lightweight button-down and khaki pants.
After a quick outfit change, we headed to the pier to photograph Lily and Justin in front of some of the classic Ocean City boardwalk sites. Lily’s family has been frequenting these spots for generations, and it was important to them to pay homage to them in their engagement photos.

To wrap up their OCNJ engagement photo session, Lily and Justin took a brave dip in the ocean. Thankfully the water was very warm on this September morning–I jumped right in there with them! It was totally worth getting soaked–I mean, how gorgeous are these photos?!
