For their engagement session, Lorraine and Dillon wanted to choose a place that was meaningful to them as a couple–which I always recommend as a Mainline engagement photographer. They spend a lot of time on the Haverford campus, walking through the trails and watching the ducks in the pond.
From the moment I arrived, Lorraine and Dillon were so gracious. It was a treat to explore campus with them, traipsing through paths they walked regularly and posing in front of their favorite spots around Haverford. The campus reminded me a lot of where I went to school in Oregon–I have to admit I was a bit homesick while shooting this session!
Why do an engagement session, you might be asking? Besides having photos to post on social media, use on your wedding website, or send with your Save the Dates, an engagement session gives you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day, when things move really quickly. Plus, I think it’s important to have photos that convey who you naturally are as a couple at this pivotal time in your lives. You’ll look amazing at your wedding and in your dress, but it’s nice to have photos to share with future generations that show you and your love as you were every day too.
